Introduction to the country of Morocco

In order to better understand the cuisine and atmosphere at Morocco's Restaurant, this week we will be exploring the geographical and cultural background of the Kingdom of Morocco. Located on the north western coast of Africa, Morocco has long been a melting pot of cultures between Arabic, European, and African countries due to its location and diverse landscape. The landscape of Morocco includes coastal beaches on the Atlantic Ocean and Mediterranean Sea, the vast Atlas Mountains, and the Western Sahara dessert. Morocco is not without its populous urban cities either. The largest city in Morocco is the world renowned Casablanca, whose population is 3.2 million. With a beach to the Atlantic Ocean and many cultural landmarks, Casablanca is a premier travel destination in Morocco. I will soon explore more of the rich geographic and cultural influences that make up the Kingdom of Morocco.
